At factories where automation for high-mix low-volume or variable-mix variable-volume manufacturing is implemented with cutting-edge technologies, advanced image processing, massive device connections, and low-latency connection are required. 5G technologies would make it possible to ensure AI solutions with such features.
Intermind AI develops Flexible Manufacturing Cloud and provide solutions to enhance manufacturing quality and traceability in high-mix low-volume or variable-mix variable-volume manufacturing. Although flexible Manufacturing Cloud can be installed with current network technology, we expect that smarter cloud solutions that make full use of manufacturing data would be possible with 5G technologies.
